Hey! I'm Nick.
For the longest time, I have been a huge fan of media (as most millennials are). I started shooting photography when I was a teenager, following in the footsteps of both my mom and my dad. However, I put the camera down as life went on, and pursued other dreams. It was during this time that I started to really learn to appreciate films, tv shows, and YouTube videos. I would find myself feeling in total awe from something as simple as a well timed shot synced up to the right music. I would say my biggest inspiration for being a videographer is a video called “Way Back Home” by RedBull, which features a Scottish trails cyclist named Danny MacAskill. Years would go by, with my dream growing, and then one day, I was asked to serve as a photographer at church. During my time serving as a photographer I rediscovered the pure joy in capturing amazing moments - creating photos that were dynamic and told a story. Shortly after this, I realized that my love for consuming media and my skills as a photographer were beginning to overlap, and so a new dream was born. When I watch videos that inspire me, I get chills and can get completely awestruck. I want to give others that same feeling! So here I am - making my dream a reality. Whether it’s through photo or video, my goal is to inspire you and inspire those who see our work to pursue the dreams on their heart too.
Hi there! I'm Kazzandra.
Just like in our marriage, I'm the administrative brain of this operation. :) But really, I'm the person you'll most likely have the most contact with - from inquiries to contracts to day of celebrations and sessions, I'm your girl! It's simply in my nature to be one of the most communicative and organized people you've ever met - just ask anyone who knows me! During college, I became interested in photography but never thought it would be anything more than a hobby that brought me peace. Instead, I focused for a while on modeling and acting, and then teaching modeling and acting, and then trying some other career paths. Who knew those experiences would come in handy years later?? A couple years ago, Nick started to get more into photography and started serving on the creative team at church. As his love started to grow into videography, I couldn't let him have all the fun! We both continued to learn and grow through our love of photo and video. After more experience, lots of consideration, and lots of prayers, we launched Pike Photo and Video! We are not only blessed to be able to do something that we love but also that we get to do it together. There's no one else I'd rather do this with!
